Grace

Bridal Couture

Creating a Grace gown involves the process of designing, patternmaking, draping, fittings, and expertly constructing your wedding gown.

The process begins after a one-on-one consultation with the designer and the commission for hire. After your measurements are taken, and inspiration is drawn from your personal style and vision and the custom process begins. A pattern is created and your “sample gown” is made. The sample gown captures your vision and breathes life into the beginning of the wedding dress of your dreams. After the sample gown fit is perfect and changes are approved, your gown will be constructed out of the fabric(s) of your choice. A series of fittings completes the process to ensure a flawless and perfect fit.

Each wedding gown is handmade and requires 100’s of hours to complete, so we pay meticulous attention to each and every detail to create your wedding gown.

First fitting:

A sample gown is constructed out of muslin fabric to view the design style you’ve selected. All fit adjustments and design changes are made onto the sample. After your approval, the gown is cut from the fashion fabric you have personally selected.

Second fitting:

Your gown is made, using the actual fabric and alterations and fit adjustments are made.

Third fitting:

Selected hand beadwork, embroidery, and embellishment details are fine tuned.

Fourth fitting:

Final fitting and finishing touches are made to the wedding dress. Arrangements are made for the pick-up date or delivery date.

As preparations proceed toward your wedding day, we are aware that this is a very emotional time. A week or two prior to the wedding, some brides may have a tendency to lose weight, so a fifth fitting may be necessary to ensure a perfect fit. Grace Bridal Couture is committed to excellence. Our service is charming, relaxed, professional and fun in our bridal salon.
